Hello!

My name is PPM, and I am a multidisciplinary artist.

Working fluidly across drawing, painting, film photography, small-scale sculpture, and non-fiction writing, I root my practice in portraiture.

Always messing around with some medium or other, my work explores the many contradictions that shape who we are.

My portraits often blend my observation with invention.

I am particularly fascinated by tattoos as narrative markers and often paint them onto subjects who don’t have them, overlaying the body with my own symbolic designs to reveal inner stories that haven’t yet surfaced on skin. This interplay between truth and artistic intervention runs throughout my bodies of work, giving each piece a sense of my own personal mythology.

Driven by curiosity rather than strict discipline, I treat my studio (which also doubles as my apartment) like a living organism: always shifting, always learning, always open to new materials and new ways of seeing.
